【英文作文：我的暑假 my summer holidays】Summer is my favorite season. It's not only because of the warm weather, but also because I have a long holiday during this time. This summer, I had a very interesting and meaningful time.

At the beginning of the summer, I planned to spend most of my time relaxing. I read some books that I had been wanting to read for a long time. I also watched some movies and played video games. However, I didn’t want to waste all my time on lazy activities. So, I decided to learn something new.

I joined a cooking class with my cousin. It was my first time trying to cook by myself, and it was both fun and challenging. I learned how to make some simple dishes like fried rice, tomato egg soup, and even a cake! Although I made a few mistakes, I still felt proud of myself when I tasted my own food.

In addition to learning to cook, I also spent some time helping my parents with housework. I cleaned my room, washed the dishes, and even helped water the plants in the garden. It was a good way to show my love and care for my family.

Another thing I did this summer was traveling. My family and I went to a nearby city for a short trip. We visited some beautiful places, tried local food, and took many photos. It was a great experience and gave me a lot of happy memories.

At the end of the summer, I felt that I had grown a lot. I became more independent, learned new skills, and had more time to think about my future. I also realized that even though summer is short, it can be full of meaning if we use it wisely.

I hope that next summer will be just as wonderful as this one.
